Our latest(and one of the last of the year) review with the TOS Crew is for a great little product.  Ever want to do an educational treasure hunt with your kids?  Well now you can!  Clued in Kids offers a variety of different PDF downloads with different educational treasure hunt themes.  The two we received were Multiplication Dragons and Happy Tummy Treasure Hunt.  Though both of the ones I received were PDF downloads Clued In Kids does offer a few Physical Treasure Hunt games as well.

The Multiplication Dragons PDF is actually five different treasure hunts together to work on the times tables from 2x to 6x.  While it is normally $30, it is on sale at the time of this review for $19.99.  It is geared for ages 7-9 or anyone who is learning their multiplication tables or having trouble with their multiplication facts.

And the best part about learning their multiplication facts this way?  They’re moving!  We don’t do a lot of television or computer time.  My kids don’t have iPads or tablets or computers of their own.  We don’t have cable or satellite.  We don’t watch a movie everyday.  In fact, most days my kids have no screen time.  I like it this way.  They tend to learn by experiencing and I think they remember better this way.  So now they can learn their multiplication facts through play!  There is no better way to learn!

Happy Tummy  Treasure Hunt is also a PDF download of a great educational treasure hunt for kids.  This one though is focused on diet and changes in diet due to allergies, Paleo, gluten free, etc.  I thought this would be a great one for our house as we are gluten free for everyone, soy free for everyone, and dairy free for about half of our house.  Some of the kids are having a hard time understanding what is and is not okay to eat.  The download is available to purchase for $5.99 and is great for all ages.  For the younger ones who can’t yet read, pair them with an older one or even read the clues together as a group.

Let’s talk a bit about these treasure hunts:

Do they require a lot of work ie setup time?  NO!  They really don’t.  All you need prior to bringing the kids into the fun is 8-10 minutes to get everything into place.

Do they require a lot of money be spent on prizes?  No not at all!  For us some fun ones were who got to choose the book we’d read during our storytime that day or who got to choose what veggie we had with supper, who got out of cleaning for the day, etc.  Just make up some fun rewards!  Get to choose a silly song to dance to, there are so many fun things you can do that do not require money but will make lasting memories with your children!

Will my kids be bored with these?  I have to say that after playing with them several times, the answer is still no.  My kids still love doing the educational treasure hunts and can’t wait to do them again.  In fact, I’ve had to limit how many times per week we do them just so we can make sure to have time to do the rest of our regular school work.

Okay, so the above photo is not one of the ones we reviewed, but I wanted to let you know that there are holiday centered ones.  With Thanksgiving coming up this would be an awesome one!

I’m really enjoying the multiplication game.  Who would have known that even three year olds can learn multiplication facts by doing this game with their older siblings?  Yes, it is geared towards ages 7-9 but when you have 9 kids 9 and under and four of them are in the suggested age range, the others feel left out.  So we do it all together.  The kids pair up.  The baby just helps out everyone so there are teams of 2.  The bigs help the littles and everyone learns!  I learned my multiplication tables through rhymes and songs and while we may use those too, my kids have learned  a great deal just by using this game.

You can find Clued in Kids on social media via twitter, facebook, and pinterest.  Also make sure to check out the main TOS Crew Blog Post to see what educational treasure hunts the other reviewers got and how they liked them.  There were several ones offered so lots of options to read about!
