Emu Oil for Your Hair {TOS Crew Review}

Members of the TOS Crew recently got to try out some great products from Koru Naturals.  This is a special review as it’s for the parents in the homeschool!  We received some great emu oil for your hair products.  I received Skin Clear Cream, Manuka Honey Propolis Soap, Emu Oil Shampoo and Leave in Conditioner.  These are some great products!

Our favorite products were the Emu Oil Shampoo and Leave in Conditioner.  I tried it out and loved how soft and silky my hair became.  But then I let my 10 year old daughter with super long almost to her knees use it.  She loves the leave in conditioner for her tangles.  She’s very tender headed and doesn’t like to have her hair pulled when combing out tangles.  The leave in conditioner is perfect to spray all over the hair and come through.  Helps to just bring the tangles right out.  She’s a much happier girl without tangled hair.

The leave in conditioner comes in a convenient spray bottle as well so it’s easy to use and take with you.  The shampoo comes in a nice bottle but it’s got a normal shampoo top.  I’m a fan of spray bottles for conditioner as I think you waste less than if you have to put the conditioner in your hand and spread it through the hair that way.

I love that the conditioner did not make our hair greasy or electrically charged.  We’ve tried other detangling type products on my daughter and had every piece of fuzz and dust bunny in the house come running to attach to her hair!  This is huge for us because we’d then have to fight the battle to get those out of her hair too.

On to the next product!  The Manuka Honey Propolis soap is sublime gals and guys!  I love bar soaps.  I love natural soaps.  This is both but with a slightly sweet honey scent.  At first I didn’t much care for the smell but it did grow on me.  I’m not much for scents on my bath products even when it’s all natural.  Not sure why. Maybe because I have sensitive skin and scented things normally make me break out in hives!  Breaking out in hives is no fun and I’m pleased to announce that this soap does NOT make me break out!  Yeah!   I did not share this soap.  I fully admit to being selfish and hiding it so that I was the only one using it in the bath.

The last product we received to review was the Skin Clear Cream.  Again, please don’t use this if you’re pregnant.  It’s not recommended and not safe.  Not sure how safe this will be with breastfeeding as I didn’t research that.  I did not use this as the texture and smell were too much for me.  My husband does have some acne/blackheads on his back though and this worked wonders on those!  I hate his blackheads and will routinely pop them.  They always come back though.  With the Skin Clear Cream they are much less noticeable and have grown smaller.  They also are not reappearing as quickly.  I’m very hopeful that they will soon totally disappear.

So, a quick recap.  Everyone should try Emu Oil for your hair.  It’s awesome.  Trust me on this one.  Skin Clear Cream helps to remove stubborn blemishes but don’t use it if you’re pregnant.  And the soap will make you selfish!

I do want to take a moment to mention that if you are pregnant you want to read the labels on the Koru Naturals products.  The blue tansy oil is not to be used during pregnancy.  My products other than the Skin Clear Cream do not contain it.  The only other product that contains it that the Crew reviewed is the Blue Tansy Oil.  I’d hate for someone to use a product that they shouldn’t so thought I’d mention it.
