When Logan De Witt learns of his father’s sudden death, he returns home to the family’s dairy farm. During his stay, he discovers his mother’s struggle with finances and his younger sister’s struggle with grief. Concern for his family presses Logan to make the difficult decision to leave his career as a pastor and stay on the farm. As a way to make some extra money, he agrees to board the teacher for their local school.

Karen Millerson arrives from Chicago ready to teach high school but her position is eliminated so she accepts the role of a country school teacher. Eager to put her family’s ugly past behind her, Karen begins a new career to replace the trust she lost in her own father who had been in ministry when she was a child.

Logan and Karen both sense a call from the Lord to serve him, but neither of them expected that one day they would do it together.

Can Karen learn to trust again? Will Logan lay aside his grief in exchange for God’s purpose for his life?

Hope for Tomorrow

My Thoughts on Hope for Tomorrow:

This book is so sweet.  It’s a slow-moving book but definitely full of good content.  I mean it’s not every day a city girl gets chased by a bull!  Well.  At least not here on our bull-less farm.

I’ve enjoyed getting to know the characters.  They’re fun and easy to connect with.  You can just feel them fighting their destiny with what they think is the best plan for their lives.

Karen has always vowed not to repeat the mistakes of others.  For this reason, she will not marry a farmer or worse yet a preacher.  And yet without knowing it she’s losing her heart to a man who is BOTH!

Logan has plans for his life and they don’t include the farm.  While he’s back he’ll arrange help for his mother and sister but then he will return to his church and his real home.  And to the girl, he’s hoping to court.

I love how Logan and Karen get thrown together time and again.  But then I’m sad for what Logan’s family is going through and cry some tears with his younger sister.  She’s definitely not handling this well.  And I might want to help the mail lose some letters from Logan’s possible maybe if he were there girl.

Add in the troubles the farm is facing and this book does have some twists and turns but mainly it’s a nice clean romance where you know what is going to happen and can’t wait to see it through.

Highly recommend this as a clean historical fiction romance.  You’re going to love this.  Grab a cup of hot tea and a few scones or cookies and enjoy the book.  Also, a good one to read during a hot bath.  Side note.  I’d see no reason to not let a teenage girl read this book.
