Step 4 Kids to Draw DVD Review
When we received the Steps 4 Kids DVD on drawing, I must say that this makes an absolutely awesome art curriculum for homeschoolers. My kids loved this and had a great time using this to work on their drawing skills for the past few months.
Here is the product description from their website:
“In July 2012, Steps4Kids will release its Steps4Kids to Draw DVD with approximately 90
minutes of video modeling to help emerging artists learn how to draw shapes, animals, people and things. For children learning to draw shapes, the “Shapes” section shows how to draw a circle, square, triangle, rhombus/diamond, heart, cube and star. Each shape uses colored graphics to help children learn to identify the shapes as well! For more advanced artists, the Steps4Kids drawing DVD shows how to draw animals that you may find on a farm, in the house, in the water or at the zoo! (20 total) The “People” track shows how to draw 5 faces, introduces “profiles” and demonstrates how to draw basic clothing. The “Things” track shows how to draw a bike, car, flowers and more! Each section (Animals, People, Shapes and Things) has “all play” features that enable viewers to play multiple demonstrations at once but also enables viewers to select each item individually to practice their favorite items!
My kids really enjoyed watching the segments on here. We started off with the easiest one at shapes. Once they had mastered shapes we then went on to the things section, the animals, and lastly the people. My children are far from being accomplished artists, but I can truthfully state that their drawing has improved with watching this dvd and it has enhanced a part of their curriculum that was severely lacking as I am not an artist and in fact can only draw stick people!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

All our family has some sort of artistic talent to some degree. My grandson who is with me alot likes to draw all the time. This would be a great idea to get for him. I like the fact that it goes over different things to draw not all the same things . You can advance to other things as you learn too.

My kids love drawing, and want to learn more about it after taking art classes this past summer. I however am horrible at drawing. This would be perfect for them. Going to go and check this out!

This sounds cool. To be honest, I could use a little drawing instruction myself! lol!

We plan on homeschooling our daughter when she is old, so it is so nice to see all of this great programs to incorporate into a homeschool curriculum. Plus, I was always the artsy fartsy type in school and I have a feeling our daughter is the same. 😉

I have never been very artistic and I am so glad for programs like this that will teach my kiddos for me!
