ABOUT THE BOOK
The Black Dogs Are on the Hunt, But Who Is Their Prey?
When a cursed dragon-witch kidnaps fairest Lady Gleamdren, the Bard Eanrin sets boldly forth on a rescue mission…and a race against his rival for Gleamdren’s favor. Intent upon his quest, the last thing the immortal Faerie needs is to become mixed up with the troubles of an insignificant mortal.
But when he stumbles upon a maiden trapped in an enchanted sleep, he cannot leave her alone in the dangerous Wood Between. One waking kiss later, Eanrin suddenly finds his story entangled with that of young Starflower. A strange link exists between this mortal girl and the dragon-witch. Will Starflower prove the key to Lady Gleamdren’s rescue? Or will the dark power from which she flees destroy both her and her rescuer?

My thoughts: I’m not really sure what to say about this book. It is definitely not something that I would just pick up off a shelf and want to read. Yet, then again, it was a very well written and truly good book. I really did enjoy reading it once I started. I’m not much of a science fiction type of reader, so this was a bit out of my normal readings. I am glad I read this book and would recommend it for anyone who enjoys this type of book. Well, I recommend it for others too, because it has a good message and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I received a copy of this for free to read as part of the CFBA. However, all opinions in this post are mine and not influenced by others. I was not compensated in anyway for this review other than a copy of the book

I admit I’m not much of a fantasy reader myself but I am often pleasantly surprised by books that I wouldn’t initially think are for me. I might have to give this one a try.
