Enjoying my Morning Coffee with #HelloKeurig

I don’t know about you, but I love a good cup of coffee.  In fact, my morning does not tend to start well if I do not get that cup of coffee. I really do find myself enjoying my morning coffee every week.  I was ecstatic to be selected as one of the Influenster’s to receive a new Keurig 2.0 550 to review.

The new Keurig models includes, not only a way to brew K cups, but also to brew a whole Carafe.  The carafe can hold up to 4 cups of coffee.  It also has a program feature so that you can program it to brew at a certain time.  Fresh coffee upon awakening?  Yes please!

Let’s talk a bit about the new coffee maker.  I loved the extras that it has.  You see I’ve been using the Vue.  I love that the Vue included a travel size brewing.  The 2.0 takes it a step further because you can brew a carafe.  The carafe can fill two travel mugs or 4 coffee cups.  In addition to the carafe you can also brew just a k cup in this machine.  Having been using the Vue machine I had not done a lot of k cups so that was a new experience for me.

Right now there are not that many different varieties of carafe choices.  But, my favorite variety is there!  I love the French Roast Green Mountain Coffee and it is one of the offered varieties so I am okay with that.  As for k cups. . .. well there are so many varieties of this that it is hard to choose!!

Some things that are not quite so lovely about this machine.  You have to have the k cups that have the special seal on them.  I bought a box of k cups from the store and they will not work in my machine.  I was so sad when I put the first Green Mountain decaf Breakfast Blend in the machine and it told me I needed a Keurig cup.  It was a Keurig cup!  Sad for that.  I also am sad that I cannot use my own cup in it to put my fresh grounds in it.  I’m hoping that those are some minor details that will get fixed in the near future.  Every new brewer has a few things that need worked on and I’m sure this is going to be a great one!

I have to say that over all I am super happy and excited with my new coffee maker.  I love it!  I love brewing a whole pot.  It cools quickly in the plastic carafe that comes with the machine, but I have seen where there is a stainless steel one coming.  I would love that!  Can’t wait to get one of those for my machine.  Definitely go check out this machine and try it out for yourself.
