Blog Tour April 1st – 8th
After seven years as a Chicago homicide detective, Lisa Grant has hit a wall. Ready for a kinder, gentler life, she takes a job as a small-town police chief. But the discovery of a human skeleton by a construction crew at the edge of town taxes the resources of her department. A call for assistance brings detective Mac McGregor, an ex-Navy SEAL, to her doorstep. As they work to solve the mystery behind the unmarked grave, danger begins to shadow them. Someone doesn’t want this dead person telling any tales–and will stop at nothing to make certain a life-shattering secret stays buried.

My thoughts:
I loved this book! Oh my. It’s riveting! I loved the medical aspects of the book as well as the danger and suspense. I have to say that I truly could not put this one down. I was very thankful that my husband was home when I started reading because he could then take care of the kids while I curled up with my book!
Lisa and Mac make a great team. They also have some chemistry going on between them that they’re determined not to explore until after their case is over. A case that they can’t seem to solve. Oh by the end they know who it has to be but they can’t prove it. They have no evidence. But they will if they can simply keep each other alive long enough!
I don’t want to ruin this book for you, but you’re definitely going to have to read this for yourself! It’s amazing.
