My Thoughts on Building a Ridiculously Great Marriage:
Does anyone think they have the perfect marriage? I know I don’t. That’s why I was excited to review Building a Ridiculously Great Marriage. My marriage isn’t horrible and it’s not falling apart, but you can always work on something. When you stop working to make something better is when you give up on it.
I think this is a great book to gift to couples when they get married to help them get started off on the right foot. But it is also great for old married couples too! My husband and I have been married for 15 years now and I still gleaned wisdom from this book.
It showcases 15 habits that help make a healthy marriage. I like that it was broken up into the 15 habits so you could focus on one and not feel like you needed to keep reading. You immediately knew where the sections started and ended.
When you have children at home you often put them before your spouse. It’s not always intentional of course but it does happen. I’ve seen it happen in my marriage and many others. This book offers a perspective not only on that but on how to change it without feeling like you’ve abandoned your children too. I love that it gives practical advice on how to maintain the relationship and dating of your spouse through this season of busy.
You have to focus on nurturing and protecting your marriage. Think of it as a precious rare animal that needs love to survive. I highly recommend this book to all couples whether newly married or seasoned.
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.
