My Thoughts on Canceled

I love a good thriller book.  Something to read and keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.  There is just something about it that I love.  Maybe it’s because my mind is always working to figure out who is behind it all and how it can be stopped.  I love books that make me use my mind!

This is my first experience with this author.  I really enjoyed reading his book.  It made me think, not just about the plot and storyline but also about life now and some of the parallels that can be seen.

While I think this is a wonderfully written book I also do think that some of the content could have been left out specifically on the ouiji board.  There are lots of evil things in the world that yes, we should be aware of, but not in detail or to a point where we’re familiar with how it works etc because that does take our mind to somewhere that I believe it shouldn’t go.

Also, I know it’s a novel, but why have an unbeliever be a professor at a seminary?  That doesn’t make sense to me.  At all.  You would think where you are training believers you would want to surround them with believers who are teaching and disciplining them.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.

Cancel Culture?

This is worse.

All around us we see our culture changing, and not for the better. Sometimes it seems like all the voices we hear are filled with anger, hatred and intolerance.

There’s a reason for that: They are all rooted (you guessed it) in anger, hatred and intolerance.

It was time to step back and look at what it’s like to be cancelled, but from an entirely different source: The Supernatural.

The main character is a preacher, but one of those who does NOT believe in a supernatural god. He doesn’t know what he believes. But when he’s finally confronted with a supernatural experience he cannot deny, he finds that walking on the dark side is going to cost him his life.

The only solution, both for him and the one he falls in love with, is to know God and get access to the supernatural weapons he never dreamed existed.

I have to say I love the intense ones! Maybe because it’s so far removed from homeschooling and homesteading mom life.
