Once a long time ago I got to go see a film in the theatre. It was my first review. The film was Monumental by Kirk Cameron. And now I’m reviewing another of his films, The Homeschool Awakening. While I didn’t get to go see this one in a theatre, I can’t say that it would have changed my thoughts any.
The Homeschool Awakening is a well-put-together film that I enjoyed viewing. Keep reading below for more about the film and what I thought.

The World is Your Classroom
I love this tagline. The world truly is your classroom. You can learn so much, the possibilities are endless if you simply want to. That’s what I tell my kids all the time. You need to know how to learn. My greatest hope for my children is that I will have instilled in them a great love of learning and the knowledge so that they know how to learn.

Okay, so here’s a bit of a spoiler. I’m a homeschool mom. I know, you never would have guessed it. But it’s true. For over a decade now I’ve schooled my kids at home and lived to tell the tale!
Have you ever thought of homeschooling? Is it nerve-wracking? Do you have a lot of questions?
Please know that I would love to answer any and all questions that you might have. While homeschooling has happened for years it really has come to popularity in the last few years due to the pandemic.
Kirk Cameron does an amazing job talking about the whys of homeschooling and how it is gaining ground with everything in the world right now plus what is being taught in public schools.
Even if you’ve never thought you could homeschool your children I challenge you to view this film and truly think about it. While this is a Christian film and I myself am a Christian, you don’t have to be one to homeschool. There are lots of secular curriculum that is really good out there on the market. There are even homeschooling groups just for people who use each curriculum!
Please know if you choose to homeschool you are not alone. There is a whole support network out there for you. Let me know if you need help connecting to them!
