Genre: Christian Contemporary Suspense

Release Date: June 27, 2023

Trying to overcome a past like hers might help him overcome his.

Alicia Gray wants one thing: to prove her capabilities as a doctor. Maybe then she can escape the feeling that her mother’s abandonment was deserved. She’s never felt worthy and grew up in foster home after foster home, always being told that if she did better if she was more amenable, she’d find her place. When she came to Suamalie, the last thing she expected to find was a man whose grumpy personality conflicted so piercingly with her sunshine demeanour.

Colin Tremblay was dishonourably discharged from his army medic position and sent home in disgrace after his twin brother stole from his clinic. Back on the islands, he’s bounced from job to job, never finding anything that satisfies him. To make matters worse, his twin niece and nephew convince him to spend his summer overseeing their camp activities while working alongside Little Miss Sunshine herself.

This grumpy versus sunshine romance is sure to send them both scrambling when Colin confronts Alicia’s need to please while she reminds Colin that not every bad day is a reason to run for the hills.

Take a trip to the Suamalie Islands where palm trees sway, the sand and sea pulse with life, and the people will steal your heart.

My Thoughts on Love Like No Other

This is such a fun opposites attract book.  It’s sunshine and happiness and grumpy and cranky mixed together for the perfect storm of a book.  I loved the characters!

I have to say that I loved the hero Colin.  You see, that’s how I spelled my son Colin’s name.  With only one L and I loved seeing someone else use that spelling.

Oh and twins!  I have forever wanted twins.  I have older twin brothers and have always wanted to have my own set.  This is an 8 year old set of boy girl twins with tons of energy and summer fun to fill the hours!

And you can’t forget horses.  Horses make every story better.  I’m a huge fan of horses.  I often tell people I married my husband for his horse.  Of course, I didn’t, but I do love that old Arabian horse who is still running our pastures.

This is such a fun story.  It was just the sweet sigh I needed after reading a high suspense book.  Nothing to worry me.  Nothing to make me lock my doors and close the curtains.  Just a wonderful sweet book with loads of fun and laughter.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.

More from Tabitha

When it came time to write my Suamalie Island book, I knew it was time for me to head back to the place I love best. It was time to bring back the cowboys. Colin might not be a cowboy in his own mind, after all, he left the ranch and worked for years as an Army medic and wants nothing more than to help people as a way to make up for not being able to save his brother when he needed it most.

Alicia, the island’s resident mobile doctor, feels the same way.

You would think that these two would manage to get along since they both want the same thing.

Not so.

They disagreed on almost everything.

From a personality perspective, they couldn’t be more different.

Alicia is sunshine and rainbows to Colin’s storm clouds. The one thing they can agree on is helping others, and when things get tough, Colin is the one person who Alicia finds she can trust to follow through and not back down from the hard aspects life throws their way. And threaded through it all is Colin’s cowboy past and the heart that carried him across the battlefield and back to the islands he’s always called home.
