A Song Unheard Spotlight
A Song Unheard Character Spotlight
JustRead Publicity Tours
Hi guys! I am an avid lover and reader of Roseanna M. White and am thrilled to be allowed to bring your her newest release The Number of Love. However today I want to chat about A Song Unheard which is where we meet the star of The Number of Love for the first time.
Let’s meet some of the characters from A Song Unheard!
Willa Forsythe:
Willa is a talented self-taught violinist. She’s also a thief from a “family” of thieves. Willa was abandoned by her parents and taken in by a misfit bunch of thieves. Barclay is the leader of their crew and bands them all together. They’re all really just children trying to survive. Willa is growing up on the streets but with her beat up violin it’s proof that she is special.
Mr. V finds her and knows that she has something. He recruits her to help him and the intelligence force. Through his finagling she finds herself taking violin lessons from the great Lukas De Wilde while also trying to track down a secret code and the codebreaker.
Can she complete her mission with her heart intact? Or more importantly, can she complete it alive?
Lukas De Wilde:
Lukas is a well known concert violinist. He also knows what the code and the key to that code are. And he’s going to stop at nothing to protect it. Even if it means his life.
But what about Willa? He agrees to tutor her and maybe even falls in love with her a bit before he finds out she’s seeking the code.
With everything in him, he must protect his sister and mother. But can he even find them? Where have they gone? He was smuggled out of Belgium but they are still there somewhere safe he hopes.
Margot De Wilde:
Margot is the secret weapon of her father. She is a prodigy of codes and math. Solving codes and riddles is easy for her and what makes her heart sing much like playing the violin makes Willa’s soul soar.
Somethings to know about Margot. She’s not your typical girl.
The thrill of solving these puzzles to her is what makes life living. Having to hide her talents and that she is super smart at math make life dull and boring for her.
But she wants to survive. She just wants to be able to use her brain while doing so.
Margot is the title character of the newest book The Number of Love so we will learn more about her soon.
There are so many other players in this book but these three are the most important to me. We have a double agent spy. There are bad Germans and good ones. And so much more in the department of intrigue and mystery.
My thoughts:
I loved this book. Really though I’ve loved every one of her books. Roseanna M. White is an amazing author who keeps you hooked. A Song Unheard is no different. I got sucked in. When Willa loses her violin to violence I cried with her. And throughout the book, there are moments you just wish the characters were actually as real as they felt so you could give them a hug or maybe a thump upside the head.
Yes, the characters seem that real. These are thick books she writes but they read super fast because you get sucked in and just cannot tear yourself apart from them. I cannot wait to share the new series with you because I know it’s going to be good without even picking up the book.
Willa is a dear and so fun to watch her come into her own. She has issues from her past that she must overcome and come to terms with before she can move on with her future. Only she doesn’t realize just how much her past and her need to keep everyone at a distance is really impacting her.
Oh and Mr. V is just something else. I love learning more about him with each book. He’s a character for sure and I’m hoping for a book all about him and his past at some point (hint hint).
This series is addicting really. Book one was amazing. It focused on an “older sister” of Willa’s. Book three focuses on Barclay. I cannot tell you how wonderful they are without giving it all away so I won’t try besides go get copies of the whole series!
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from JustRead Publicity Tours. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. Her books are some of the only fiction novels that I actually keep to reread. They’re that good!
