My Thoughts on The Finding of Miss Fairfield

The Finding of Miss Fairfield is a wonderful historical fiction novel involving romance but also a bit of suspense plus the Harvey girls! I love the Harvey girls! If you’ve not noticed I tend to read all the books about them I can find. They’re a favorite of mine for historical fiction novels. Such a unique part of our history.

I felt for Sophia. Nobody wants to be forced into a marriage. Much less forced into a marriage to a man twice her age. Add in that she can’t stand the man and it’s quite the match she doesn’t want. But then she falls in love with his stepson and woah things start to happen.

But Prescott has ulterior motives for marrying her and he won’t let her go free. Even when she runs off he is determined to find her and make her wed him whether she wants to or not!

Great book! It read quickly and flowed smoothly. I loved the characters and how they overcame things. This is the start of a series and I am so pleased by that! I can’t wait for the second book! Waiting is always the hard part.
