My Thoughts on 70 North
I was waiting for this book. I could not wait to have it in my hands. And once I had it I could not wait to read it. You see, each book leaves you hanging. It tells you a foreshadowing of something to come, but it doesn’t finish it. And I am not here for waiting months for the next book! I want them now! Sadly, this book also leaves me hanging! I need the next one. Right now! Come on!
Okay, that said, time to chat about this book. One, you need to get it. Two, you need to read it. Three, make sure you’ve read books one and two first. Yes, it really does matter. You have to read these in order because each book builds on the book before.
Mac started the Cyber Solutions team.
We meet him in book one. We see him again in book two. But book three is his time to shine. It’s the book that really gives us insight into him. He was shot, and he recovered, but he’s not all better. He’s not fully repaired. You see, his wife and child died in the initial book. And he’s a broken man. He’s also big on vengeance and retribution on the person responsible for this whole mess. Others think he’s dead but he knows he’s not.
When Mac’s friends arrive things look up, or do they?
Add in the sweet and driven Dr who has her own ghosts in the closet and this book is packed with suspense! Oh and don’t forget the killer lurching just off the scene. He’s there. He knows what’s going on. And he thinks he’s fully in control.
Mac has been after the killer. He’s almost had him a time or two. But he’s never quite been able to kill him. He wants to. And he’s determined to. It is his life’s focus. Because he doesn’t feel he has anything else to live for.
With the help of his friends, he sets out to get a step ahead of this guy and figure out where his next target will be. They’re joined by the Dr who has an unexpected leave of absence.
This is such a fast-paced book! There is so much going on. I want to tell you all about it. And discuss all the details but I don’t want to give away anything. So just know that it’s an amazing novel. It’s going to stay on my shelf forever. And I will be reading this series again. Oh and I’m begging for the next book. Now please!
