After all, he’s been smitten with her since they attended school together, and she needs his protection. However, the plan fails when Ollie’s uninvited suitor discovers her new location.
As the man’s actions become more desperate and his gifts more dangerous, an unexpectedly bedridden Titus decides to free Ollie from this menace, which puts the enemy’s sights directly on him. Ollie refuses to let her injured hero sacrifice himself, but with the days ticking closer to Christmas, she may have no choice but to accept whatever fate her suitor has in store for her if she wants to save Titus’ life.

My Thoughts on The Neighbor and the Gifts
The Neighbor and the Gifts is a wonderful historical fiction novel with romance and suspense thrown in for good measure. I love a good suspense novel, so I knew on reading the description I’d love this one!
Imagine this.
You’re a librarian. And you come to work. To find a package outside the library for you that contained a taxidermied partridge. And it just keeps getting weirder as the song plays out. They’re from a secret admirer, but I don’t think that’s the type of admirer that I would want!
Enter our hero!
Okay, so he’s a bit different from the normal hero, but a hero nonetheless. He takes Ollie to safety, except they’re not safe. Imagine that!
This book reads fast and fierce, and you won’t want to miss a second! The author is amazing, and I’ve loved every book I’ve read from her. This is also part of a series, so you will want to read them all in order.
Here are a few little bits that I hope aren’t spoilers! Titus has admired Ollie for a while and hasn’t made a move. Will he gather his courage too late? And when he’s injured, can he still save her? Or will she give her life to save him?
