My Thoughts on Lipstick and Gunpowder
Lipstick and Gunpowder is a fun, fast-paced suspense novel about taking down the bad guys while also having romance thrown in. Oh, and Dale, she’s a girl. I know, you probably figured that out, but it took me a second.
Dale is not only a girl, but she’s an FBI agent. And she’s undercover on a ranch trying to ferret out an opioid ring. Mark is the owner of the ranch, but he’s also the one who hired Dale to help out. He’s not so sure about her abilities, though.
Things get bad fast when Mark’s niece is kidnapped.
This is the first book in a new series.
A few thoughts.
The description says that Dale is a disgraced FBI agent, and there are a few parts of the story that make me wonder if she has lost her edge and if she’ll continue being an FBI agent or maybe settle down and give it all up. Who knows?! Yes, Dale and Mark will be a bit of enemies and then maybe work towards being a bit more.
It’s a great novel, and I enjoyed reading it.
