Teach Sunday School

Do you add Bible to your school day?  A neat way we’ve been doing this is with the books of the Bible program from Teach Sunday School.  The Book by Book Bible Breakdowns covers both old and new testament in two separate PDF downloads.  We’ve been using and loving these and can’t wait to share more with you!

We received both PDF downloads and a family license to use them.  This means I can print and save them as many times as I need for just our family use.  The review was facilitated through the Homeschool Review Crew.

About the Program

If you’re ready to take a deeper dive into the books of the Bible look no further than the Bible Breakdowns from Teach Sunday School.

There are two separate PDF downloads.  One is for the Old Testament and one is for the New Testament.

The Old Testament download contains a book-by-book breakdown of the books of the Bible in the Old Testament.  Each book has one page that tells you a bit about the book of the Bible and then gives you a breakdown of the chapters.  The chapters are broken down into stories.  The entire PDF is 42 pages long.  Super easy to print off (once you make sure you’ve got ink in your printer–whoops my bad) and easy to use online as well.

When you download the New Testament you’ll see it’s the same as the old in its format.  The main difference being that it’s the new testament book and that it’s a different length.  The New Testament download is 31 pages long.

Our Thoughts

Books of the Bible

We are working on reading through the Bible as a family.  We’re currently still in the Old Testament so I printed off a copy of the book that we’re currently in for each of the children who can read plus one for my husband and myself.  As we go through the Bible it has changed where we stop reading though so we don’t stop mid-story!

When we need a new book I just print it off as well.  This makes it easy so that I’m not making sure the kids don’t ruin their entire packet at once or lose pages for different books.  When we start a new book we read the top of the page together.  I love the history and back story that adds to our reading.  Plus those are some fun facts for doing trivia with the kids!

I also printed off the New Testament for us to start using during school time.  We just started with Matthew and do one reading per day.  Then we can discuss what we read.

I’ve never had the extra bits at the top of the pages before.  I really like that aspect added in.  Most of the Bible study or Bible breakdowns that I’ve used before just say read this one day one and this one day two etc.  They don’t break it down into what the stories are or who wrote the book or why.  I love that this is in there.

My kids are loving using this new “curriculum” as it makes more sense to them than just reading one or two chapters.  Why not read the different stories instead?!  I have to say I’ve never seen it broken up like this before and I’m enjoying this new way of reading the Bible as well.
