God’s Love for Children
God’s Love for Children
Homeschool Review Crew
We are a huge reading family. When we go to the library we come home with bags and bags of books. It’s what we do. We read. Recently, as part of the Homeschool Review Crew, we received the book Nothing by Natalee Creech. This book is published by WorthyKids, an imprint of Hachette Book Group. Such a cute book about God’s love for children! You’re going to be reading this over and over!
Nothing is a cute book! Great illustrations and simple ways of explaining a concept that sometimes even adults don’t grasp. That being that God’s love is forever and no matter what we say or do we cannot negate it or make Him decide He’s through.
About the Book
Nothing by Natalee Creech shares about what could possibly come between God’s love and a child. Thus the title. Nothing. There is nothing that can come between the love of God and His children. Not just children in the sense of the word and their age but children as in all of those who belong to God. I’m going to say some parents could use the message in this book too.
Gorgeous illustrations adorn every page of Nothing by Natalee Creech. I love looking at them and I’m sure you will too. I’m sharing a few pictures of the pages within the book so you can see what I’m talking about.
The book focuses on the scripture Romans 8:38-39 in a way that it’s easy for children to understand and relate.
Our Thoughts
How did we use it? This part is going to be pretty simple and self-explanatory. Considering this is a book, we read it. In fact, we read it a lot. Over and over to be exact. You see, I have a toddler. Toddlers like for you to read them one book at least ten times in a row in order to avoid going to sleep. Welcome to parenthood. God’s love for children is made very easy to understand in this cute little children’s book.
We love the cute illustrations. The funny little bits about what a child might think would take them away from God’s love are adorable as well. I truly love this book showing God’s love for children. It’s earned a spot on our shelf.
Saying that this has a spot on our shelf is high praise from me. We have a lot of books. Often I go through our shelves and get rid of the “twaddle” type books we may have collected. I want the books we read to have a message that I want my children to learn. This book fits that bill.
My toddler is enjoying this book. Which means that all my children who can read have had their turns reading it to him. Soon our infant daughter will be wanting to be read to and I’m sure she’s going to love it as well.
