My Thoughts on The Sheriff’s Second Chance:

Get ready to lose yourself and your heart within the pages of The Sheriff’s Second Chance.  Georgie is a set in her ways tomboy with lots of past hurts to heal.  Mike is a single dad of a precocious eight-year-old little girl who’s afraid to love, yes even her.

I loved getting to know the characters in this novel.  They really felt like some of my new best friends.  I did find that I could not relate to the “shop” talk because I literally know nothing about cars and did not connect with Georgie this way. 

However, I did connect with her in the way that I feel a lot of people will with that she’s insecure but doesn’t show it.  Raise hands now ladies.  How many of us are insecure but put on a good front?  Yeap I’m seeing all those raised hands.

Now that we all agree we’re insecure at heart. 

I loved how the author made the characters so loveable and yet still human in that they make mistakes and have to fix and get over things.  Great read.  Wonderful characters and I really liked the feel of how the author wrote.  It flowed as a good story should!

When my print copy arrived in the mail I was pleasantly surprised at how thick this book was!  I had been expecting just a short fast read like most of the Harlequin Heartwarming books are.  But no!  This book is thick and though you may want to you’re not going to finish it in one or two hours while the baby naps. Ask me how I know this. . . .

So get ready to set aside a few evenings to read this book because your heart will be warmed and you’ll become invested in the lives of Georgie and Mike. Happy reading!
