The One Rule Is, Don’t Mess With The Past
But he did, and now ex-detective Rembrandt Stone is reaping the devastation of ignoring those words when he traveled back in time to solve the one case that had haunted his dreams.
Yes, he solved the crime. Yes, he saved lives. But Rembrandt returns to find the unthinkable has happened and his life has shattered.
There’s only one answer: break the rule again. Go back in time once more, fix what went wrong, save what went right, and yeah, in his spare time solve another brutal crime.
But it’s not so easy to change time, especially when time turns you into a target. And of course there’s the strong possibility if he goes again, he’ll never get back.
Get ready for your mind to be blown in Book 2 of the time-travel suspense series, The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone.

My Thoughts on No Unturned Stone
I’m not a huge fan of time travel novels. They’re just not my thing. But when the chance came to read book one in The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone I knew I needed to read it. Merely because Susan May Warren is one of my favorite authors and she collaborated on writing this series. I was not bored that’s for sure.
This series is unlike any I’ve ever read before. You jump back in time for a bit, then back to the present and back in time. But you’re not starting where you left. Time is still moving in the present while you’re in the past and still moving in the past while you’re present.
And of course, there’s that pesky little thing called anything you change back in time has the potential to change things in the future.
I found myself wrapped up in Rem’s story. I didn’t want to go back to the present because I didn’t want to know what had changed by what he’d done in the past. As his mentor tells him, you can’t change anything but solve the crime or you’ll regret what happens in the present time.
And boy does Rem get to understand that. At the beginning of the book his daughter is dead in present time. The daughter that had been very much alive the last time he was there! And it just gets better from there. So much back and forth and so much action.
It’s a time travel novel, but also a fast-paced fiction novel. Now add in mystery and suspense and crime solving and you might get a handle on what the book is like. But you can’t imagine the characters and the content. They make this story. I am now invested and must read the rest of the series because I have to see what happens to Rem and Eve and in the end their daughter and even their marriage as well. Do they ever get married? What ends up being the written story of their history?
