My Thoughts on The Epic Story of RJ and York:

The Epic Story of RJ and York is a trilogy but you’re going to read it like one giant book because where one ends another begins! Let’s dive in!

First.  If you’ve not read The Montana Marshalls series you’re going to want to read those.  While you can read this series without that backstory you’re going to want the backstory.  The Montana Marshalls cover the lives of all the Marshall siblings one of which is Ruby Jane.  And you want to know Ruby’s story before you meet her in this series.  Trust me.  While this trilogy does try to provide you with the bare bones so you can follow along it’s not going to be enough! 

There is never going to be enough of these guys!  Okay, so maybe I’m biased!  Also yes this really is so exciting that I have to use all these exclamation marks. 

Out of the Night

Out of the Night starts out basically where Ruby Jane ends.  Please read the previous series first.  Or at least read Ruby Jane because you’re going to want her back story. 

Ruby Jane or RJ wants to be a spy.  She’s been CIA but the pencil pusher type, not the field agent type.  Now she wants to be an agent.  But her boyfriend wants to be done with all things spy.  What happens when they go on a romantic getaway together and instead of a romantic proposal they find an escaped criminal that has it out for them?

This novel reads so fast and I was so glad I had the entire trilogy and didn’t have to wait for the next book to come out. 

While I love RJ I also get annoyed with how impulsive she is and how she wants to run off on her own.  She doesn’t have the training to match her brain and how the puzzle pieces seem to connect in there.

Regardless this is a book to not miss reading.  Grab the trilogy and settle in for a cozy overnight of reading without stopping.  You might want popcorn and coffee so you stay awake for them all.

I Will Find You

Start onto book two in the trilogy.  You’re going to want to start it the second you finish book one.  I have to say that this trilogy had me captivated and I just wanted to read it until I was finished.  I hated having to put it down and take breaks! 

This book starts off with RJ leaving York in the hospital.  He’s unconscious and she says that she will be right back.  She’s not sure if he hears her or not but she’s sure she can do this mission and be right back the next day.  Only, she didn’t count on being stabbed in the back by someone she thought she could trust.  Someone she thought was on her side.  Thank goodness for Ziggy having her back for real!

But can they protect the girl and keep themselves safe while getting back to York?  Can they figure out who is behind this all?  And can they survive? 

And why does her cousin keep showing up?  

You’re going to love love love this book and the series.  RJ tugs at my heart and I love watching her and York grow in their relationship as well as in themselves and their abilities.

No Matter the Cost

No Matter the Cost is the third book in the trilogy of The Epic Story of RJ and York.  You’re going to love this conclusion.  It’s intense and just keeps you on your toes and biting your teeth til the end when you breathe a deep sigh and enjoy the rest and peace that comes. 

This book starts with York dead.  Or is he?  RJ believes that he isn’t but everyone else thinks he is.  RJ is going to prove that he’s alive.  

And again RJ’s cousin is everywhere.  And danger still follows her.  Who wants her dead?  Could her cousin possibly be behind this?  Surely not! He’s a Marshall after all.  Even if he is a movie star.  And everywhere that she is.  

Someone is trying to kill the president.  Can RJ save everyone?  Is she truly cut out to be a spy?  What about the young girl?  She deserves a home and a family?  RJ and York are a team and she needs her other half. 

This was so good.  I will honestly read this series again.  So much nuance going on and there is just so much!  It’s amazing.  Well written and the characters are flawed but yet perfect for each other and the story.  I’m sad to see them go and really hope we focus on cousin Marshall and his family in the new series.
