My Thoughts on Under the Blue Skies

Under the Blue Skies is the third book in a series. It’s a wonderful Amish fiction series with a bit of a twist in each novel. The characters are wonderful.  And the plot is amazing.  I really enjoyed getting to know everyone and watching them grow and eventually come into themselves throughout the novel. 

In this book we’ve got the quintessential opposites attract but with some flair and unknowns thrown in.

Thomas is running from his past.  He doesn’t want to end up like his father but he’s worried that he will.  So he’s never going to get married or have children.  Curveball!  He becomes the guardian of his niece!  So where does that leave him?  Can he become a father figure to her without becoming angry and mean like his father?  Can he overcome his fears and uncertainties?  And can he maybe find love as well?

Lovinia has a past but hers is on display for all to see. 

A childhood accident left her scared permanently.  And we’re not talking about internal but external scars.  She wants a family but has almost given up hope that she’ll ever find a man willing to look past her scars etc.  

And then she meets Thomas and he’s not what she expects.  She falls in love with his niece and develops a relationship with her.  Can she have a relationship with her grumpy uncle as well?

Such a sweet love story and book.  I hope you take the time to read it.  And if you haven’t read the first two books in the series and want to just read this one you can.  They’re stand-alone.  Although I always recommend reading books in a series as they’re written.  Because who doesn’t want to read more books instead of less?!
