My Thoughts on His Treasured Bride

Book two in a fun new series!  You should read book one first.  It’s not necessary to understand this book but it’s an amazing novel on its own!  And I’m always of the firm belief that if it’s in a series you should read them in order.  Plus this book does continue the storyline from book one.

This is a fun marriage of convenience novel.  Our heroine, Daisy, has said that she’s going to choose her husband carefully.  She’s not going to rush into it.  It will be a man of her choosing.  And then. . . she enters into a marriage of convenience.

Seth is trying to find a treasure for a friend.  He’s in the colonies with his partially blind missionary brother.  They’ll be back to Ireland soon.  In the meantime, he has a map of the treasure but no key.

When it’s discovered that Daisy has the key she and Seth enter into a marriage of convenience.  And they’re off for the treasure!

This was a fun novel.  It moved along quickly with some suspense and some romance.  It’s set in the 1860s in Vancouver.  I loved the descriptions of the area and getting a glimpse into the history. I’ve never been so it felt like maybe I was getting to visit.  Of course, if I did visit in the modern day it would be very different I’m sure!
