My Thoughts on Hidden Mountain Secrets

This book really starts with a bang!  Our main character  Brielle comes back to her antique shop to find her assistant (and friend) on the floor with a knife wound moments before she’s accosted herself.  She’s only saved by someone showing up.  That someone would be her brother (with his K9) and an old childhood friend.

She’s had the presence of mind to call 911.

This old childhood friend though, his name is Lucas.  Brielle once had a crush on him.  And now he has to race against the clock to protect Brielle from whoever is determined to kill her.

Can Lucas protect her?  Can he also solve the case that brought him home?  Why does Brielle have a target attached to her?

This was a wonderful suspense novel.  It moved along at a very quick clip and kept my attention.  I loved the interaction of Brielle and Lucas and watching as they each had to overcome parts of their past and forgive themselves before they could move forward.

Disclaimer.  This is book three in a series.  It can be read as a stand-alone novel.  But, of course, in my opinion, you should read the series in order.  When you read them in order you get all the information and learn it before you see these characters. Whatever you do, read this book!  You won’t regret it!
