My Thoughts on Rescued at Christmas
Rescued at Christmas is a sweet romance Christian fiction novel that is also the second book in this holiday series. It’s a sweet novel that you’ll enjoy. It can be read as a stand-alone novel but you’ll get more from it if you read this one after the first book in the series. I’m a huge proponent of reading books that are in a series in order so please read two instead of one!
This was a fun romance novel.
Devon comes to Maple Glen to fulfil a promise she made to her brother. He’s since passed but she’s determined to keep her promise. But when things go wrong and she gets injured it’s Finn to the rescue! Finn is a fun character. I love seeing him interact with his niece.
You’ll love the snow in this novel. I felt like I was there. The characters are wonderful and described fully. You really get to see them grow and fill out through the novel. And you’ll get to watch the romance blossom even when they fight it.
This novel really pulled me in.
It pulled at my heart. Devon is a social worker. That’s such a hard and demanding job. But also rewarding. Finn is a rescuer, a firefighter, a man larger than life if you will. But he’s not perfect. And his life is far from it.
Watching (because yes I could see them in my mind) the characters interact was so fun! I was laughing, I was trying not to cry. THe author pulled all the emotions from me. It’s very well written and I highly recommend you read this novel. But read the first one in the series first.
