Release Date: February 18, 2025
Genre: Historical Romance
A new world. A new hope. An unexpected love.
Sage Rhodes is eager to escape Manchester, England, and leave behind the pain of a broken engagement. When she’s offered the job as a lady’s maid to Augusta Lennox, who is travelling to Vancouver Island to visit her brother, Sage happily accepts the position.
Not so long ago, brilliant engineer Jackson Lennox faced a terrible tragedy during the building of a suspension bridge in the Fraser River Valley and becomes a recluse in his fine home in Victoria. When his sister and her beautiful lady’s maid arrive on his doorstep, he’s reluctant to welcome the visitors.
Organized and efficient, Sage starts to bring order not only to Jackson’s home but also to his life. Even though at first they clash, the attraction between the beauty and the beast is undeniable. Still, they do their best to ignore it. But when Augusta goes missing and they’re thrust into a dangerous adventure together, circumstances require them to pretend they’re married. Will the charade—and their forced proximity—change their hearts…or ruin them both forever?

My Thoughts on His Perfect Bride
This is the third book in the Bride Ship series. It’s a wonderful breath of fresh air. That’s not to say that the characters don’t have issues and trials. None of them are perfect. But the whole series is wonderful. They’re Christian and contain scriptures and characters that are strong in their faith. I love finding books like this. It’s also a wonderful historical fiction book that will give you bits of history to ponder and maybe deep dive into.
Sage is leaving England. She’s had a broken engagement and wants a fresh start. When she gets that chance as a lady’s maid she grasps it with both hands. They’re off to Vancouver Island to visit Augusta Lennox’s brother.
Sage is naturally organized and a go-getter. That works in her favor but can rub other people the wrong way. She’s not looking for another love. Rather just a new life for herself.
A couple of thoughts.
Augusta needs her own book and her own happily ever after.
When you read this book please please think of a fairy tale and see if it doesn’t maybe remind you of it. I love the correlations!
