My Thoughts on Home Baked Bribery
Home Baked Bribery is a quirky mystery novel that you are absolutely going to adore and want to read over and over. I love the twins! Now, don’t think cute little babies because they definitely are not that, but they might be just as ornery as my toddler.
I love baking. It’s something that I do often. I worked at a bakery in high school and did everything from massive amounts of fudge at Christmas to the icing on sugar cookies and even wedding cakes. In more recent years I’ve done three-tier wedding cakes and elaborate birthday cakes. It’s a passion. It’s a hobby. And it’s definitely something I do because I love it, not because it’s quick and easy.
This is the second book in a series. You really do need to read this series in order. Otherwise, you’re going to feel a little lost when you read this one. You’ll catch up and it will eventually all flow together, but you’ll miss out on stuff that you wouldn’t if you read the first book.
Small towns are so fun. Everyone knows everything about you and you can’t hide what you think and feel. I know this firsthand because I grew up in a small town. They’re great places. But sometimes you can feel like you’re in a fishbowl.
This book follows the mystery of who purposefully introduced an allergen to the celebrity chef. It’s a classic whodunit. You’re going to be forming opinions and figuring out who you think is to blame. I loved it. I’d read it again. It’s also one I’d have on my shelf for my young adult children to read.
