Mr. Arnold‘s career as an actor/author spans over five decades with multiple stage and film credits. He has recorded over one hundred audiobooks and is the author of the Urban Chronicles suspense series and the multi-volume biblical/historical fiction series entitled The Song of Prophets and Kings (available in all formats wherever books are sold). When not writing, he can be found hiking on a trail somewhere in the world. My Thoughts on The Stranger at the Door
The Stranger at the Door is book two in the Urban Chronicles series. It’s a fast-paced action type novel that you’re going to love.
The Mercy Seat is the church that Maxwell and his family attend. His wife is directing a play at the church. It’s her way of dealing with what happened in book number one. One night as everyone is leaving rehearsal a woman escapes a van. That woman is the catalyst for the action in this novel. Maxwell’s family reaches out and helps the girl because they feel that is what Jesus would do.
Well. Let me tell you it definitely starts moving fast now!
Did I mention Maxwell is the pastor of the church? But he’s having lots of regrets and fears and just all the emotions from everything that happened in book one and his role in that. I wouldn’t say he’s left his faith but he’s definitely struggling.
When the woman is rescued everything starts moving. Maxwell’s daughters are captured along with the woman and Maxwell will do everything in his power to get them back.
This novel tackles some hard topics and subject matter. It also gives you a great view of prayer warriors and helping in any way that you can.
