Was he targeted due to a case he was working on…or does it have something to do with the son they placed for adoption decades ago?
When their investigations lead them inside a booby-trapped amusement park, it’s a race against the clock to put all the pieces together and uncover the park owners’ nefarious plot…or die trying.

My Thoughts on Scent of Sabotage
Get ready for Scent of Sabotage the newest release in the Security Hounds series. It’s such a great series, you don’t want to miss a book. Dana Mentink is a favorite of mine for suspense. Her books suck you in and won’t let you go.
One last go with the series. I’m sad to see it end. I might need them to come back and cameo in another series. Arthur is our dog extraordinaire in this one.
Sometimes I think maybe a novel is going to be a repeat. You know, take some scenes from another one and be just a little too close. I’ve read some others with closed-down amusement parks. And they all just seem a little similar. This one did not! I was hanging on the edge of my seat and could not put it down.
The rest of this series has been about the sibling group of the family. This book features Beth. She’s the mother and the head of the whole thing. She’s had some health problems in other books, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect from her in this one. I was not disappointed, though. Her character gets fully fleshed out as her own woman instead of just the mom of the group.
Here’s where I want to put in a plug.
I saw a parallel. Too often, I see myself and my whole identity as a mom. This reminded me that I, too, am not just a mom. I’m my own person with my own thoughts and feelings and definitely my own life. As my children grow and get older, I’m sure I’ll see that more, but I’m still in the throes of babies and toddlers and homeschooling as my youngest is not quite two, even though my oldest is almost 21.
Grab this whole series and binge them in one day or one weekend. You won’t regret it. Okay, maybe you will, but I wouldn’t!

More from Dana
How could we be at the end of a series? I’ve been having a wonderful time with the Wolfe family and their house full of hounds. The last book is finally Beth’s story. She’s the matriarch of the family who has experienced the loss of a spouse. In this story, she will meet the son she never knew and explore the idea of learning to love again. I feel especially fond of this book because Beth is an older heroine who has some living under her belt. She’s learned how to carry on, with her old dog Arthur, and stand faithfully in the face of adversity. Now that’s a heroine I can root for! I hope you enjoy this final instalment of the Security Hounds series!
