Cerulean Rose is the first book in The Fates Trilogy. It is a clean fiction, romantasy, fairy tale retelling with closed door, kisses only romance.

About the Author of Cerulean Rose

Demi lives in California but grew up in beautiful New England. As a married woman with three adult children, she enjoys spending her time crafting novels that enhance the truth of Scripture.

Her characters are biblically based and entirely captivating.

She launched Devoted Steps Ministry in 2016. Besides keeping up with the daily prayers and devotionals on the devotedsteps.com website, she works at a local church.

She is an avid reader as well as a writer. Long walks around the lake offer her space for inspiration. Besides biblical fiction, she also writes speculative Christian fiction novels.

My Thoughts on Cerulean Rose

This is the first book in a fantasy series by this author.  Fantasy is hit or miss for me.  But this one was good. It felt more like a fairy tale retelling than it did some weird world of aliens. 

Aural is our heroine.  She sets off from her home (something she promised never to do) to find a cure for her father’s illness.  On her journey, she meets the Prince.  Well, and other people too, but of course the prince is the main and most important one!

Langlee is looking for a bride.  Sounds like a fairy tale you might know?  Don’t worry, it has lots of fun and twists that make it its own tale.  

The Cerulean world is protected by the fates.  But the fates are not happy after a queen is murdered, and true love seems to no longer exist.  Can true love be found again to save the kingdom?

And yes, you can speculate who ends up married to whom and blah blah.  But if you don’t read the book, you’ll miss out on all the fun of how they get there!

This is a clean fiction read.  More for adults and older teens, I would not personally let a younger teen read the novel, but you use your discretion.
