My Thoughts on When They Met Again
In When They Met Again it’s love at first sight for him, but it’s lets just be friends from her, until life gives them a second chance. I’m a huge fan of Amish fiction. While I love suspense, I also have a special love for a good romance as well. And a good romance with meddling matchmakers?! Sign me up!
Adam falls for Joanna. It’s love at first sight. But she’s not so sure and deems him into the land of just friends. She starts seeing someone she thinks is a better match, and he moves away.
But then he comes back to help his grandparents with their business. Joanna is nursing a broken heart. Could this be his chance to prove to her that he’s worthy of her love?
Or will he forever be stuck in the friend zone?
I enjoy how this book is about Amish characters, but they’re human. They are flawed individuals, and they all have their own problems. Too often, I think books about the Amish paint too rosy a picture.
Our main characters are book lovers! And they read fiction! And some of the books they read are some of my favourites. That just makes them amazing in my eyes. But I think the grandmothers steal the show. You’ll have to read the book to find out why!
This is the second book in a series. Do you need to read it as a series? If you ask me, the answer is always wholeheartedly yes. If you ask other people, they’ll tell you that you can read this as a standalone if you so choose. But why would you choose that?
