My Thoughts on Whiteout
Two novels in one? Yes please. And two of my favorite authors. Also, yes, please. I was so excited to see this one out and could not wait to read it! Don’t worry, you don’t have to read any other books to read this one. But you do need to read both books in this one book because they do tie together.
Both novels take place during an avalanche at a lodge.
The first novel by Dani Pettrey is a second-chance at love novel. You’ve got a formerly engaged couple back together again. She’s got a stalker, and she’s trapped during an avalanche. She thought she’d left her stalker at home, but the stalker followed her and will stop at nothing to get to the goal.
This moved quickly. The characters are great. The plot keeps you reading. Just the right amount of romance to offset the suspense. It’s amazing. I read it super fast because I had to know what was going to happen!
Now for Lynette Eason’s story.
In the second story, Maya is at the lodge to finalise plans for a retreat she plans to start for military veterans. She has her own past she wishes to escape from, too. But when she’s trapped by the avalanche, things aren’t adding up. It seems someone is trying to kill her and is blaming it on the avalanche. Why? And who?
This is also a bit of a second-chance romance when Gideon is our hero. He and Maya have known each other before. Will they find love among murder?
