My Thoughts on Special Target

Special Target is a wonderful series continuation that you’re not going to want to miss. This isn’t part of a series and is a stand-alone novel. But you should read the series by this author as it’s amazing!

In Chicago, there is a social worker who fights for children.  She’ll stop at nothing to make sure they have safe and loving homes and are properly cared for.  Often, she puts herself in danger doing so.  But she’s got more danger than normal when she’s trying to place a 16-year-old with Down syndrome.  

What she thought was an unplaceable child is actually a child that lots of people want.  It’s just that they don’t mind if he’s dead or alive.  And then there’s the hunky FBI man who comes out of nowhere, interested in Matthew.  

Why are people trying to kill Matthew? 

Why are they in danger?  There are lots of unknowns going on here.

I’m a huge proponent of special needs.  I have older brothers with Cerebral Palsy and children with various special needs.  Those kids have a special place in my heart, and I will go out of my way to help a child I don’t even know.  So, of course, I loved Matthew and couldn’t wait to read this book.  My mama heart was broken multiple times through this novel. 

The author is amazing!  She writes a book that pulls on your heart, a book that challenges your mind, and a book that will never let you stop reading!  I could not put it down.  I did not want to put it down!  It’s that amazing.  I’ve loved her Guardian series and knew this book would be the same, but man, it was more than I was expecting. 

Don’t miss this one!
