My Thoughts on The Deep End of Love
The Deep End of Love is a wonderful story that will suck you in and hold you captive. So many emotions expertly woven together. There are several main characters. Each has their own story, their own struggles.
Izzy is pregnant. She’s only a junior in high school. How will she manage this? Who can she turn to for love and support? Does she even want to have this baby? What are her options?
Stacey and her husband are battling infertility and loss. They want a child. So desperately they yearn for one. But at every turn, it feels like they’re being told no and their dreams will never come true.
Our cast.
Margaret is a mother, but she feels like she’s a failure at it. She wants to reconnect with her son. But she doesn’t know how.
And then we have Jillian, who has a secret that threatens to destroy or tear down everything, including her marriage.
All of these women have something in common. And that is motherhood. It’s real, and it’s raw. I could identify somewhat with all of the characters. I wasn’t a young teen still in school when I got pregnant with my first, but I was just a month out of high school, though I was married at the time. I was also getting ready to start college and had dreams. I’ve never had an abortion, but I do have things I regret, which I’m sure we all do. Infertility is not something I’ve struggled with, but recurrent miscarriages are.
We all have our struggles.
They might not be visible to everyone, but you have to remember that no one is perfect and everyone has problems and things going on we can’t see.
