My Thoughts on The Targeted
The Targeted is the third book in a series full of suspense, twists, and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat! First things first, read the series in order. You really need to read this series in order to know all that is happening. This is my opinion. Other people might have other opinions, but we all know mine is the correct one.
Once there were some little girls. They took gymnastics classes. And what happened there was a secret that they didn’t even talk about together. Because it was that horrific. They each experienced it on their own and know the others did too, but nobody is willing to talk about it or do anything about it.
Nobody, that is, until Chloe does.
Because her abuser is back. And he’s back at the gym working with young girls. Chloe sees him doing things that he did when she was a girl, and she becomes a mama bear for her young charges. She will stop at nothing to make sure they’re safe and spared from what happened to her and her friends.
I’m not going to go into a lot of the backstory here because you do get some of that in the first two books as you go through the other two girls’ stories in the friendship trios.
Chloe is going to law school. She’s going to do it. She’s going to become a lawyer like her two best friends. But her life isn’t like theirs. She has to work hard to make money for the bills while taking care of her mother, who has some issues. Plus, her sister ran off 14 years ago, and they haven’t heard from her since. That is, until she shows up and with her comes a warning that the bad man of her past is coming. And then he shows up!
They’re both determined to take him down.
Though they’re going to go about it in totally different ways.
This is full of suspense, plus some romance as well. I read it in one sitting because I refused to be a quitter and stop reading!
