My Thoughts on To Win a Wager
To Win a Wager is the third and final book in a wonderful series of historical fiction novels that you don’t want to miss reading. Yes, you should read all three. Yes, you should read them all in order.
Bounty hunters after Tess? Why? And why does her father send her off to a Scottish isle? But furthermore, why does the next clan chief think she has any idea where his clan treasure is?
This book reads fast and furious. I could not put it down. I became so invested in the characters! Tess is so fun! I had to keep reading to find out more about her and how the novel would end. Jamie is also a wonderful character, and the chemistry between the two of them is fabulous.
Jamie was a spy before coming back to his clan to prepare to take over as the chief. Because he left, they distrust him, and he has to earn his place among them.
Ready for the fun plot twist?!
Marriage of convenience between the two! Loved it! They have such chemistry, and I truly could not stop reading. It ended too soon, and I need a follow-up, please and thank you. Definitely one I will read again. I’ve been to England but not Scotland. I can imagine it though and hope to get there one day now.
