Title: Watched
Series: Windy City Westons #3
Author: Jerusha Agen
Publisher: SDG Words, LLC
Release Date: September 24, 2026
Genre: Christian romantic suspense
His mind is a steel trap. He didn’t know it could trap him.
Robert Weston became a psychiatrist to heal people’s minds. He can’t lose his. But if the strange occurrences of forgetfulness and confusion continue, he may not be able to hide the truth much longer. When his psychological issues put his life in danger, he must face the reality that the genetic nightmare he fears inheriting has seized him.
Attorney Monty Montgomery doesn’t trust Robert Weston. His expert testimony once ruined her client’s case. She didn’t realize the psychiatrist isn’t only wrong but also completely unreliable. How can she defend him against a malpractice suit for the insurance company that hired her when he’s clearly incompetent?
Robert and Monty have bigger problems than they know. Someone has a mission. A mission that won’t be stopped until somebody ends up dead.
Is everyone a pawn in the lethal game, or is Robert’s failing mind playing tricks on him? Even with the help of the Weston siblings, Robert and Monty may need a mind smarter than theirs—the mind of God—to escape this twisted game alive.

My Thoughts on Watched
Watched is a wonderful, intense, high-suspense novel that you will not be able to put down because you can’t miss out on a thing! I could not put it down. Literally. It was that good. I was part of the story, and if I left, the characters might not be there when I got back!
This is book three in a series. Should you read all three books and in order? Yes, you should! Do you have to read all three books in order to read this one? No, you can read this as a standalone novel. However, you will meet some of Robert’s siblings who the first two books are about. So, you miss out on their backstories if you don’t read those two books first. But you can read this one without them. I’m just a fan of reading more books instead of less!
Okay. Onto the story!
Robert is our hero. He’s a psychiatrist. And he’s got a malpractice case against him. Plus, he thinks he’s going crazy or at least that he has some sort of dementia like Alzheimers. Why do you ask? Read and find out
The malpractice case is a major focus of the book. Robert is accused of negligence in the case of a patient who was making progress and then committed suicide, leaving her in a vegetative state.
Enter our heroine.
Monty is his lawyer for his malpractice case. Let’s just say they have their own little history and backstory that makes this even more fun.
She’s super sweet. And super feisty and fierce! Her whole family are attorneys and work together. They’re a great Christian example as well. Robert is not a Christian, though some of his family is.
I loved watching the dynamic between Robert and Monty. His confusion and such play into it a few times and make things hard. Plus, Monty has a past where she was hurt by someone she loved, so she’s a bit jaded and doesn’t trust easily. I really liked watching them as they got to know each other. Of course, there are setbacks and misunderstandings, but it’s how they handle them that matters.
Oh, and did I mention someone is trying to keep Monty off the case? And they resort to violence!
One of my favorite parts is watching how the two families interact with each other. How they care and how they show that they love each other and have each other’s backs. They’re not perfect; each member has their own problems, but they will do anything to help and keep each other safe. I really hope that someday I can say the same about my children and their love and support for each other.
