My Thoughts on The Final Word
What a fun novel! I can say that I would love to move from Paris to the countryside. That would definitely be my choice. I’m a rural country girl at heart.
This is a clean romantic fiction novel with a bit of suspense and mystery thrown in for good measure. It’s also the second book in the series. It can be read as a standalone novel, but it will make the most sense if read in order.
Sophie is an aspiring author who has been working at a bakery in Paris. She’s “followed” as she moves to the English countryside. There are some references to domestic abuse in this novel, and the main character struggles with accepting a God that is good when things go wrong and bad exists in the world.
The author does a wonderful job of keeping you engaged in the novel while allowing you to get to know the characters and keeping the action moving at all times.
