If this is God’s plan, Annaliese is disappointed. It’s nothing like she imagined, and her heart’s desire is to go to veterinary college. This could mean a very different future for her.

Linda Hoover lives in west central Ohio with her husband and grandson. She earned a degree in psychology from Anderson University, where she learned the voices in her head were actually characters from stories waiting to be told.

Linda has been writing since childhood, but her publishing career started with writing columns and a middle-grade serial for the South Charleston Spectator. A retired librarian, she now enjoys being a full-time author in her home office.

My Thoughts on Heart’s Promise

I love a good historical fiction novel.  This is definitely one of those!  It’s also the third book in a series.  And yes, you have to read this series in order.  It’s imperative for this one.

If you want to know how Annaliese came to the family and what her history is, plus what’s been going on with her parents and the farm, you have to read all three books!

Two families.  They’re friends.  But such different backgrounds.  One set on a farm in the United States and the other from England.  But each young person is brought together.  And maybe some love forming?

Can Annliese give up her dreams?  Will Robbie let go of some of his beliefs in women’s roles?  Can they come to an agreement and overcome obstacles?

I loved watching Annaliese grow and change.  I also loved seeing her find out her own history and backstory before she was adopted.  Such a pivotal moment.  I don’t want to give away the story, so you’re just going to have to read it!
