My Thoughts on Mail Order Duchess

Mail Order Duchess is a wonderful historical fiction novel and the first book in a new series by Misty M Beller!  Everything by Misty Beller is amazing.  The characters are always so real and just draw you in. 

This book is no different.  I’m always so excited to start a new series by this author.  To know that not only do I get one amazing novel, but I’ve got more to look forward to.  Best present ever!

Mandie is a widow, but she’s also pursued by her brother-in-law, whom she does not want to be with.  He’s not taking no for an answer, and she fears her only choice is to run away.  So she does.  She answers a mail-order bride advertisement to marry a Duke’s son.  Duke as in British royalty.  Living in Montana, no less. 

Now, I’m sure you’re asking yourself why a Duke would be in Montana, but don’t worry, it’ll all get explained to you.  

The story just keeps picking up the pace and more and more are thrown at you!

Mandie gets to Montana, and the man she was to marry is dead.  But she also had an accident on the way and lost her memory.  So she doesn’t know what she’s running from or why she needs to get married.  One of the other brothers in Montana is willing to marry her, but if she can’t remember why she needs to get married, will she get married?  Or will her troubles follow her?

This book reads so quickly, and you will find yourself all mixed up with the emotions and danger of the characters.  I truly was getting anxious for Mandie at one point!  Five stars, I will definitely read again, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series!!
