My Thoughts on Moms of the Bible
Have you ever thought you could do better? Wished you’d made a different choice or responded differently? I think we all have. When we compare ourselves to other people, we are going to see our shortcomings and where they excel. But we’re only seeing a small bit of the picture. We’re only seeing the reality they want us to see. What we don’t see is when they fail or make mistakes, just like us.
In Moms of the Bible, we are introduced to several moms of the Bible. We get to know them. And we glean lessons from them. From their mistakes and shortcomings, and from their failures as well. We learn from the good and the bad.
This is an author that I have enjoyed before. She shares her wisdom freely in other areas, from mothering sons to marriage and raising daughters. So I knew this was going to be a wonderful, well-thought-out, and well-written book.
Throughout this account of women of the Bible, the author also shares personal stories that highlight what is being taught. I enjoyed the variety of moms. We’ve got ones that I would immediately hear their name and think good mom, and then those that I immediately thought bad mom, and the ones that I was surprised by.
As always, this book by Rhonda Stoppe is one I can highly recommend. And I recommend you check out her other books as well.
