My Thoughts on Seeds of Hope

Seeds of Hope is a wonderful historical fiction novel. I love that it brings attention to people struggling with reading.  I have a few kids with dyslexia, and it’s hard!  They really struggle, and it’s very hard for them to learn to read.  Often they just want to give up.  

Rabb is a deputy.  But when a criminal gets set free because of a clerical error, he knows he can’t continue on.  The error was his.  He has trouble with written words, with letters, with reading.  And he doesn’t want to tell anyone.  He doesn’t want anyone to know.  

But Sallie sees him.  She knows his struggle, and she’s determined to help him keep his job while also learning to read.  Sallie is a school teacher.  She’s the perfect one for the job. 

But then danger arrives.  Sallie is in danger.  Cattle rustlers seem to taunt him.  Can he protect Sallie and button up the case?

This is the second book in a series. Read them in order for the most enjoyment.

Sallie and Rabb both have secrets.  Keeping their secrets will only hurt them, while revealing them will allow them to overcome. 

I really enjoyed the characters.  They’re flawed and fun.  The book read quickly.
