Have you ever played music to your belly while pregnant?  What about sang to the little dancing inside?  I have to admit that I often have talked to my littles growing inside but I’m not sure that I have played music just for them.  Music is a daily part of our lives here and you’ll often have some kind of music playing in the background of our house.  Enter Preborn Prodigy.

Preborn Prodigy believes that music is an integral part of development.  They sent us three physical CD’s to listen to and review through the Homeschool Review Crew.

The three CD’s we received are titled Math Prodigy, Prayers and Blessings Newborn to 99, and Prayers and Blessings for the Unborn Child.  Each is its own CD with a cardboard type cover.  All of the CD’s can be found HERE.

About the Product

Preborn Prodigy wants to help change lives and draw people closer to God through their music.  What better way to do that than to target those in the womb who have not been exposed to the negative yet?  And in reaching them they are also reaching the mothers and fathers and siblings and anyone else who might be listening.

Currently, the company has three CD’s out for purchase.  But really it’s more than three cd’s because you can purchase them in several languages including English, Spanish, German, Hebrew, Chinese, and Afrikaans.

Prayers and Blessings for the Unborn Child is roughly 55 minutes long.  It hopes to share how we are loved even before we are born from the moment of conception even.  We were loved before we were conceived.  This album provides scriptures and prayers for peace and protection, health and development in the womb, safe labor and delivery, as well as instruction for righteous living.

Next, the Prayers and Blessings Newborn to 99 album is roughly 55 minutes long as well.  This one is for those who didn’t have the option to use the Newborn Prodigy when they were expecting.  It’s basically the same things covered that are covered in the Unborn Child CD but geared to those who are already born.

The last CD we received is the Math Prodigy Volume 1 which covers basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals.  This CD is roughly 58 minutes long.

Soon there will be three more CD’s joining the ranks.

The Father’s Heart will be addressing the unique issues that face children who are fostered or adopted. I have to say that this one is one that I am looking forward to as we have four adopted/guardianship children and there are definitely some unique problems and situations that come with that.

Surprised by Baby is another title coming soon for those couples who unexpectedly find themselves expecting.  This album will minister to the mother to choose life for her baby and share with her the Lord’s plan for provision and protection on her and her unborn child.

The last coming soon album is Science Prodigy Volume 1 which will cover several branches of the sciences including biology, chemistry, and physics.  All will be done through a Biblical worldview.

Our Thoughts

When this was offered to us to review I thought it would just be a sweet little CD full of hymns and lullabies.

I’m looking forward to the CD for The Father’s Heart to come out so that I can try that one out.  It’s on my wishlist.  I am interested in how it will be different and what difference it might make in some of my children.

The math CD was interesting!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I popped it into the player the first time.  Instead of just having the times tables or addition tables drilled which is what I thought might happen, we are introduced to math in a calming way.  The CD tells why math is important and who might use math in their careers.  It then goes on to teach in a soothing way.  This would be a great CD to play for children as they just start math and then when you’re teaching math this will already be in their brain helping them to learn and understand better.

I loved how affirming these CD’s are.

They let your child know they are loved, they were created for a special purpose, and that they are very much wonderful.  I think so many children feel that they’re not loved or wanted because we as adults forget that they need to hear those words and not just have us show them by providing food and clothing.  Sometimes adults get busy with life and forget about what really matters.  I personally have been making more of an effort to make sure I say some of these affirmations to my children since we’ve begun listening to the CD’s.

Unborn babies are a love of mine.  Obviously, as the mom of 11 children who has given birth to seven of those, I love kids.  Kids hold a special spot for me and to think that someone would grow a child that they didn’t love and treasure is mind-blowing and makes me want to bring all the babies to my house.  Since I can’t adopt them all this would be a wonderful resource to give to a pregnancy resource center.  Think of all the good this could do if given to mothers who weren’t sure they wanted to keep their babies.

We give all of these CD’s a big thumbs up and can’t wait to get some of the other CD’s when they are available.  I think the CD’s would make great baby shower gifts and truly are a joy to listen to.
