Do you have science you love in your homeschool?  It’s a subject we’ve struggled with over the years to find one that my children and I all like.  Homeschool science is definitely a subject you can’t skip!  We have been using and love Greg Landry’s Homeschool Science.  We received six months of online access to Greg Landry’s Homeschool Science Membership.  There are so many different science courses to choose from!  

About the Homeschool Science Program

If you’re looking for homeschool science for high school or middle school this is the way to go!  There are so many different courses to choose from so there is something for every grade or every interest.  

These courses vary in length.  Some might take you a few weeks while others are a full-year course and count as such for your transcript.  

If you need to step back from teaching this subject and let your students take the lead this is perfect for you.  Grades six and up require very little parent involvement to work through these homeschool science courses.  It’s student-led and all through the online course portal. 

Let’s Chat a Bit

So this program is through Canvas.  You have one family login and then can access everything.  Through your access you get all of the classes from fourth grade through senior year of high school.  There are full year courses as well as just a few weeks for some. 

All of the courses contain everything you need!  The text books and lessons are all in PDF and then there are the full videos as well.  Greg Landry teaches them all.  He’s got the knowledge and experience for this having been a homeschool parent/teacher but also a college professor.  Through his courses your children will get a great faith and Bible based homeschool science education. 

Our Thoughts

I can do elementary science.  That’s pretty easy.  But once you hit high school and need labs to get more in-depth in their studies.  Well, I started to struggle.  It was hard for me to teach and I didn’t feel like my children were really grasping all of the concepts. Plus, it was not a fun learning environment for all of us anymore. 

I have six high school students now.  It’s tough for me to believe this!  And because they are all different learning stages they can’t easily do the same course as we used to do.  I’ve got seniors and juniors and sophomores and freshmen plus a few junior high kids too!  It feels like just yesterday everyone was in elementary school and I’m going to graduate my first this year!

This program is amazing!  I love that it’s a subscription with pretty much too many classes for me to count.  I was scrolling and counting at one point and I quit.  They seemed to never end!

Spoiler alert: 

I will be buying this membership once our free trial period is over.  Yes.  That’s right.  We really do love it and we are really using it.  I try to always be super truthful if it’s something we will continue using and love and this is.  It takes the learning out of my hands.  I get to sit back and be the cool parent who answers questions if needed. 

My kids who are doing this biology/anatomy/physiology lab loved this particular graph.  You see, my family is the exception to this.  Our most common blood type is AB- as my husband is A- and I’m B-.  I think out of our 12 kids we have 5 of the RAREST blood type which is AB-.  It’s so cool how that works!  We did the blood typing with everyone who wanted a stick.  I had to help explain how we had an O- child as well though. 

If you’re ready to have kids who love science check this out!  You’re going to love it.  They’re going to love it.  It’s a great price for large families because it’s per family that you get access.  If you don’t have a Canvas account it’s super easy to set one up so don’t let that hold you back.
