Kezia Blair believes true talent shouldn’t need shortcuts. But after years of singing backup and recording anonymous jingles, her shot at a real music career is slipping away. When a last-ditch audition lands her on Starbound, TV’s biggest reality show, Kezia faces a painful choice: chase stardom on someone else’s terms—or walk away for good.
Zach Falconer created Starbound to launch fresh talent—not get tangled up with it. Burned by a fame-hungry ex, he’s determined to protect his show from scandal and his heart from pain.
But Kezia’s passion, honesty, and refusal to play the game shake his carefully controlled world. And the deeper their connection grows, the harder it becomes to protect the lines between love, loyalty, and career.
In an industry where image is everything, can they hold onto what matters most… or will success cost them the truth—and each other?
A soulful, slow-burning romance about integrity, ambition, and the price of staying true.
My Thoughts on Old Town Symphony
This is the third book in this series. You’re going to want to read all three books! I am a huge advocate of reading all series in order, but this could be read as a stand-alone if you absolutely wanted to.
In this book, we get to attend a music competition. And man, are some of these acts in it to win it at all costs. Will they also hold onto their values, or will those go by the wayside as they pull out all the stops to win?
This is a contemporary Christian romance, though I would say it’s not overtly in-your-face Christian, more like the quiet friend who is influencing you and always standing firm in their beliefs in the friend group.
Kezia wants to win this reality show and become a star in her own right, not just a backup singer. Zach is one of the judges, and well, he’s quite a bit critical. He’s not wrong, but maybe doesn’t come across with the truth in the nicest manner. He could definitely tone it down or find kinder ways to do it.
What happens when more than words start to fly between these two? You’re going to love it!
