My Thoughts on On a Midnight Clear

On a Midnight Clear is amazing. It immediately caught my attention because three of my favorite historical fiction authors each had a novella in it. It read quickly. The characters all reached out to me and refused to let go of my mind and heart.

It is so hard to say which is my favorite. But, if I had to choose one, it would be the one by Tracie Peterson with Angel. She’s jilted at the altar. Then she leaves to become a glorified nanny and housekeeper (aka wife in name only) to a man she knew as a boy.

Vincent is a sheep farmer. We raise sheep here so that was fun. I’ve got the knowledge and know how hard that can be. Though I’ve never been in the position of either of the main characters, I could pretend I had because the author did such a great job describing it and making it come to life.

The other two novellas were equally as good. I loved watching the characters overcome their hurdles and figure out how to do the next thing and possibly find hope and love along the way.

You’re going to love this collection of three novellas that’s perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
