Lori DeJong (pronounced DeeYung) is an award-winning contemporary Christian romance author who enjoys penning stories full of grace and the redemptive power of God’s love that inspire others to hope regardless of circumstance, find joy in the moment, and grow in their faith.

My Thoughts on Sanctuary and Sabotage
Sanctuary and Sabotage is the second book in a series. You’ll want to read the first book first, though it’s not required. I love a good suspense novel. But really, I’ve started reading some great suspense novels only to stop part of the way through because of innuendo and foul language. I’m not going to read that smut!
Which is where this novel comes in. It’s a clean Christian suspense novel that won’t make you skip words or paragraphs and definitely won’t make you send it back without reading more than a quarter of it.
Trevor returns to his hometown. He’s basically licking his wounds and hiding from reality after a failed mission, and someone was killed. So home he goes. It’s his safe place.
Here he reconnects with his childhood friend.
Well, her brother was his best friend when they were kids. Kinsley has taken over her father’s vet practice.
Suspicions are raised when suspicious things start happening at Kinsley’s vet clinic. Trevor is sure they’re not just innocent mishaps. How can he convince her of this? And how can he keep her safe?
Both Trevor and Kinsley are hiding things from each other. Will their secrets come to light? Will those secrets affect their growing feelings for each other? And will the villain succeed?
This was a great novel. It kept me engaged. The characters were wonderful and flawed and really seemed to be actual people, not just built for a novel. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!
